Biography – Joe Curto

Founder of Catholics for Christ

Joseph Curtoto grew up as a Catholic Christian in the Long Island NY suburb of Brentwood. As a young man he graduated from Brentwood High School in 1980, and attended Dowling College on a full soccer scholarship where he received a bachelors degree in Accounting. Joe spent most of his work life as Sr. Director of Construction Operation for a large construction firm based in the Mid-Atlantic. Currently he is Co- owner of The Makar Company a Construction Management firm located in Berryville Virginia. Joe is married to his high school sweetheart Maureen and is the father of five daughters.

As a senior at Dowling College, Joe began his spiritual re-awakening when he took an “Introduction to the New Testament” class. This class began a fervent love of the Holy Scripture which continues to this day. Since 1987 he has devoted himself to developing his relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit through a prayerful, diligent, reverent study of the Bible and Church doctrine.

Beginning in 1989, Joe has served as the Sr. Coordinator of Adult Bible Study in three different parishes. He has spoken hundreds of times, helping Catholics deepen their personal relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Currently a parishioner at St Francis deSales in Purcellville Virginia, Joe has served on the Pastoral council for 3 years and currently conducts a weekly Adult Bible Study, and facilitates St. Francis deSales Charismatic Prayer Group “Refuge.”  In Addition Joe Serves the Diocese of Arlington as a board member of Charismatic Renewal Service Committee (CRSC). Recently Joe is the host of the “Building our Faith” Broadcast which aired on Christian Television Network (CTN) Channel 267 on Dish Network, and 376 on DirectTV, and Catholic TV.
